Marvin Hichem Coleby is the CEO of Raise, a Bahamian startup building a company ownership platform to manage compliant digital securities. He serves an advisor to the Africa Blockchain Alliance and Agentic Group, alongside advising partners from MIT, Coindesk, IBM and PwC. Marvin is a bilingual (French and English) technology and securities lawyer and holds a common and civil law degree from McGill University Faculty of Law. He is a published researcher, where he specialized in regional trade financing and international investment arbitration in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. A. R. E. Girvan is the daughter of political ecconomist Dr. Norman Girvan, and a recent graduate from the Hugh Wooding Law School having obtained the Legal Education Certificate (2018). She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Major: Western Society and Culture, Minor:Spanish) from Concordia University (2012), and a Bachelor of Laws (hons) from the University of the West Indies (2015). She has worked with the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (UNECLAC), and the University of the West Indies (UWI) and interned at the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ), all positions which reflect her passion for Human Rights, and Caribbean Integration. Currently, she is an intern at Chancery Chambers, in Trinidad and Tobago awaiting Bar Call. A. R. E. Girvan est la fille de l'économiste politique M. Melina is an I.T professional with an interest in solving Africa's pertinent problems using emerging technologies. She has worked as an I.T. Business analyst in fintech and has been extensively involved in African remittance projects, import and export and enterprise resource planning. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in I.T Management and an Honours in Informatics, and is currently completing her Masters in IT Management. Ali is the CEO & Co-Founder, FinteXX Technology, a Pan-African Fintech company. He is the Principal, AHK & Associates, a Digital Transformation Consultancy. He is a Founding Member of Demo Venture, the venture arm of Demo Africa. Ali is also a Trustee of the Kenya ICT Action Network (KICTANet) and chairs the National BlockChain Working Group at KICTANet. Ali also serves on the Board of Longhorn Publishers, the leading publishing house in East & Central Africa where he is instrumental in defining the Digital Strategy for the company.

Jennifer githu is a final year law student at the University of Nairobi pursuing her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. She currently serves as the Editor-In-Chief for the University of Nairobi Law Journal(UNLJ).Her interests and specialization include International Trade Law, Economics, Finance, Technology and environmental governance. As the Editor-In-Chief, she is responsible for encouraging creating opportunities for research and knowledge development in new ares of the law. She is a BlockChain Enthusiats and belives that the technology offers a rare chance for the continent to move forward in financial systems reform and development. Norman Gabula is a law student, awaiting graduation in December 2018 from the University of Nairobi, where he also served as the Cahirman of the University of Nairobi Students Association (UNSA) during his final year. He specialized in Law, Democacry and Governance, and is fascinated by the role that distributed ledgers and other emerging technology could play in facilitating the economic empowerment of African peoples. His research paper was on the regulation of digital assets. In his free time, he is an avid field-hockey player Norman Gabula est un étudiant en droit, qui va obtenir son diplôme en décembre 2018 à l'Université de Nairobi, où il a également été président de l'association des étudiants de l'Université de Nairobi (UNSA) pendant sa dernière année. Keith Mandela is the Community Manager at ADAF. He handles Community engagement, product development, and research. Mandela is the Head of Research at EOS Nairobi and is a Collaborative Researcher at HT Canvas (a health technology startup). Mandela co-leads the Africa Blockchain Initiative's Kenyan Chapter.

Engineer

Eugene is Lead Engineer at Raise and buiding securitized assets. He is a full-stack software engineer/consultant currently working with/for RBI Digital in their Tim Hortons subsidiary, through the effort of Andela. He is also a Google Developer Expert in Web technologies. His journey, 4 years in, which began in 2011, initially using a Nokia feature phone to learn how to develop software applications. Eugene est ingénieur principal à Raise et gère des actifs titrisés. Il est ingénieur / consultant en logiciel complet et travaille actuellement avec / pour RBI Digital dans leur filiale Tim Hortons, grâce aux efforts d'Andela. Il est également expert en développement Google pour les technologies web. Son parcours, qui a débuté en 2011, consistait initialement à utiliser un téléphone polyvalent Nokia pour apprendre à développer des applications logicielles.

She serves on the Law Society of Kenya Committee on law Reform and Constitutional Review and has consulted on the drafting of technology and innovation policies for governments throughout the continent and regional organizations. She is a graduate of the Political Leadership Development Programme and served on the YAGPO programme working on youth access to government procurement opportunities under the Treasury and Ministry of Finance, aiding young individuals and youth groups to formalize and regularise their businesses to access government tenders. Linda is a member of the Law Society of Kenya, Federation of Women Lawyers and International Commission of Jurists.
